FUNERAL DIRECTORS

People avoid conversation about death until they have to talk about it - (loss of someone, terminal illness or being close to dying themselves). Funeral Directors is a card game that attempts to ‘normalize’ conversation about death in a societal setting and engages the players in organising their own fun fictional funerals. Funerals included in the game are spanning variety of cultures to remove the seriousness of death. The aim of the game is to be played amongst friends and family and encourage conversation about death, removed from vulnerable heart space, and create a new space for us to reflect on our attitudes towards death. The board game is designed to be open source and to be easily replicated with a set of instructions.
